Anubis, also known as Anpu or Inpu, was the Egyptian god of death, mummification, embalming, the afterlife, cemeteries, tombs and the Underworld. He was the son of the goddess Nephthys, with his father being either Osiris or Set, and the brother of Wepwawet.
