Ares was the Greek of courage and war, who was one of the many sons of Zeus.
Overview
Ares was the son of Zeus and Hera, and became the god of war, notably offensive and violent war, while his sister Athena was the goddess of strategic and defensive warfare. He was often allied with the Thanatos, the god of death, who assisted him during his wars.
He was notably the lover of Aphrodite, with whom he had several children: Eros, Phobos, Deimos,Harmonia, Pothos, Anteros and Himeros.
