Adad, also known as Iškur or Rammanu, was the Mesopotamian god of weather, hurricanes, storms, thunder and rain. He was usually seen either as a the son of Anu, Enlil or Nannar.
He was sometimes syncretised with the Canaanite deity Baal as "Baal-Hadad".
