Indra, also known as Inda or Saudharmakalpa, was the Vedic god of lightning, thunder, rains and river flows, who also held the titles of King of the Gods and King of Heaven. He would also go on to become a major god in the religions of Hinduism and Buddhism.
He was famous for slaying the evil dragon Vritra.
