Ninurta, also known as Ninĝirsu ,was the ancient Mesopotamian god and Babylonian god of war, hunting, and agriculture. He was the son of Enlil and either Ninlil or Ninhursag, and the consort of Nintinugga. He was famous for battling the monstrous Anzû.
